What's new in each release of RhythmMuse. (Looking for BassMuse or PianoMuse?)

Choose which formats to install. The Windows installer now has a Select Components step where you can tick VST3, CLAP, or both (both are selected by default). Install just the format your DAW uses if you prefer.

Removed a dormant LV2 build. Earlier 1.2.x installers quietly placed an unsupported, untested LV2 plugin. It is no longer installed, and updating removes any copy a previous installer left behind. RhythmMuse ships as VST3 and CLAP (plus Audio Unit on macOS).

CLAP plugin format. RhythmMuse now installs as a CLAP plugin alongside VST3, so hosts that prefer CLAP — Reaper, Bitwig, Studio One, FL Studio and others — load it natively. MIDI in and out behave exactly as they do in the VST3. Nothing changes for existing VST3 (or Audio Unit on macOS) users; the CLAP is simply an additional format in the same installer.

Copy an arrangement from another running plugin. When two or more Muse plugins are open in the same session, File → Copy arrangement from a running plugin lists the other open instances (by product, section name and a short id) and copies the chosen one's current arrangement straight into RhythmMuse — no file to save or load. Sections, chords, meters, per-bar fills and feel come across; styles and note range are set to suit RhythmMuse. The copy is a one-time snapshot, not a live link.

The “Import arrangement from another product” menu item is gone — it only ever reopened the same file chooser as Load Song. Load Song still opens BassMuse and PianoMuse song files, so nothing is lost; the new live copy above is the quicker route between two open plugins.

Import an arrangement from another Muse product. A new File → Import arrangement from another product command — and loading any .bmsong or .pmsong through Load Song — brings a BassMuse or PianoMuse arrangement into RhythmMuse. Sections, chords, meters, per-bar fills and the feel dials all carry across. A bass or piano style has no guitar equivalent, so styles and the note-range clamp are reset to suit RhythmMuse, and a short note names the product the arrangement came from so you can pick styles to taste. Write a progression once and voice it as guitar, bass and piano.
Songs remember their origin and restore their styles on the way home. A song now records which Muse product wrote it. Carry a RhythmMuse arrangement into BassMuse or PianoMuse and bring it back, and its original styles — per section, per bar and per chord — are restored rather than left on a fallback. Your own RhythmMuse songs are unaffected, and songs from earlier versions still open exactly as before.

RhythmMuse — rhythm guitar that follows your chords. A cross-DAW MIDI-effect plugin, built on the same arranger as BassMuse and PianoMuse: type or play chords and RhythmMuse strums a rhythm-guitar part locked to your transport, ready to drop onto any guitar VSTi.
Target-agnostic articulations. Palm-mutes, accents, dead (scratch) notes and ringing chords are expressed with velocity and note length — no library-specific keyswitches — so the part plays convincingly on whatever guitar instrument you point it at. Down- and up-strokes are voiced as a real staggered strum.
8 rhythm-guitar styles — Buzzsaw, High Voltage, Gallows Gallop, Sunset Strip, Open Road, Brown Groove, Nightfall and Uptown Snap — each with its own strum pattern, voicing and feel.
The full Muse arranger. Sections, per-section meter/key/style/feel, per-bar fills and mutes, live variation, MIDI chord drag-in and drag-out, and undo/redo. Opens BassMuse and PianoMuse songs — every Muse plugin shares one arrangement format.
